Please see the Website above for all details about when this varoius times and dates the walk will take place.
The aim of the walk is to raise funds for the preservation of St Mary’s Hawkesbury and a charity chosen by each individual participant
The Friends are organising the walk to raise money to help restore St Mary’s but would like to share the event with other local charities and organisations.
The journey from Worcester to Hawkesbury has been chosen because of St Mary’s historic links to Worcester Cathedral; St Wulfstan was vicar of Hawkesbury in 1034 and went on to become Bishop of Worcester in 1062. He was canonised in 1203 by the Pope and there is a commemorative window to him in the church.
